In 2018, seniors from Kearny High School’s Biomedical Science and Technology (BST) program began participating in FACES clinical rotations at Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego. The FACES team’s desire to strengthen its partnership with San Diego Unified School District’s College, Career and Technical Education department, paired with Kearny’s close proximity to the hospital and established BST program made this step possible and ideal.

In 2020, Kearny BST’s leadership reached an agreement to embrace the FACES branding and begin implementing their program in alignment with the FACES for the Future Coalition along with other sites across several states. Their vision, mission and purpose have not changed, but through this new connection, their network has expanded.
